Your commitment to learning reflects the heart of true professionalism.
In healthcare, clear communication saves lives—and skilled certified interpreters make that possible. Our one-on-one deliberate practice sessions and self-paced recertification webinars are designed to help you stay at the forefront of industry standards, achieve and strengthen your CMI and CHI credentials, and continue being part of the solution in equitable, patient-centered care.

Our one-on-one virtual practice sessions support medical interpreters at every stage—from aspiring students to experienced professionals—who want to strengthen their skills in sight translation and consecutive interpretation.
Through live online practice sessions, participants engage in structured practice with professional feedback, receiving individualized coaching to improve accuracy, delivery, and interpreting technique.
These sessions are especially helpful for students, interpreters preparing for certification exams, and professionals committed to continuous skill development.
These sessions can also complement medical interpreter training programs by providing individualized practice and feedback that supports skill development beyond the classroom.
Medical interpreter training programs and healthcare language access departments are welcome to contact us to arrange structured one-on-one practice sessions for their students or interpreting staff.

A series of continuing education (CE) courses is currently in development for medical interpreters who wish to deepen their professional expertise.
These courses are designed to expand interpreters’ understanding of medical science, clinical perspectives, cultural brokering, health literacy challenges, and ethical decision-making that shape communication in healthcare settings.
The courses go beyond lecture-based continuing education by integrating clinical context, ethical analysis, and realistic interpreting scenarios that reflect the complexity of healthcare encounters. They are intended for interpreters committed to refining their knowledge, professional judgment, and interpreting practice—even after achieving certification.
Medical interpreter training programs and healthcare language access departments are also welcome to contact us regarding customized continuing education programs for their students or interpreting staff.
To receive early updates about upcoming CE courses, including opportunities to earn CMI and CHI continuing education credits, discounts, and special learning events, please email edu@bvcmi.com to be added to our Early Bird Club.
